What We Offer

New Leaf Homes builds both spec and custom homes. Whether working with our design or yours, we take many factors into consideration: orientation on lot, positioning of rooms based on usage, view, mechanical function, use of sustainable materials, etc.

Depending on when the sale occurs in the building process of a spec home, the home could still be customized regarding cabinets, wall colours, flooring, fixtures, etc.

New Leaf Homes has Standards of Energy Efficiency that we build into each house we sell. These are minimum energy efficiency standards which we expect the homeowner to agree to incorporate in this home.

Beyond energy efficiency, we design our houses as if we were going to live in them ourselves, balancing aesthetics and practicality. We pride ourselves in designing “intuitively functional” homes. Our houses ‘work’.

Some design features are:

  • Safe embedded in concrete of the basement of select houses
  • Recessed fridge cavity
  • Recycling centre in kitchen
  • Separation of master, walk-in and ensuite (where possible)
  • Basement landing door providing privacy and sound barrier between floors
  • Open concept design
  • Main floor laundry
  • Flex room/den/office c/w closet
  • Low maintenance exteriors (stucco, brick, PVC windows, etc.)
  • Covered deck in select houses
  • Spacious entries
  • Bench and hook area at back door in select houses
  • Mini-blinds in garden doors
  • Private water closet in ensuite (where possible)

  • Fan kits on all fireplaces

New Leaf Homes Ltd. will also project manage construction of a home, taking the headache out of dealing with trades, traditional bank financing, cost control, etc.  Project managing is a great option for homeowners to keep their building costs down while avoiding the common construction headaches associated with  acting as their own general contractor.
